Meet the Team - Megan Daniels {Associate Coordinator}

We are excited for you to meet
Megan Daniels
{Associate Coordinator}

Megan started with Confetti Events as an intern in
2014 and was promoted to Associate Coordinator
this year! Learn more about Megan below!

How did you get started with Confetti Events?

After graduating from USF with a degree in Communication I wasn't sure what my next move would be. I had heard of Confetti Events through mutual friends and thought it would be a great place to put my party planning brain to work. I started my internship in 2014 and after my first event I knew I was home. I loved everything that went into planning.

What is your favorite part about event planning?

My favorite part of planning is that relationship you build with the bride. Making her vision come to life is the most exciting thing. I love knowing that this couple is trusting me to accomplish their wedding dream. It truly is rewarding.

What are 5 things you couldn't do your job without?
Timelines, timelines, timelines!
    My AMAZING team (vendors and Confetti)
    Coffee
    My clipboard and favorite pen
    My goofy personality

What is your most memorable event?

My most memorable event would have to be the first event I ever worked as an intern. It taught me so much. I got a glimpse at how hard planning a wedding can be, but also how rewarding it was. There is so much happiness and love going around you can't help but get swept up in it all. Knowing I played an important role in someone's most memorable life moment is so gratifying.

What is your personal style?

My personal style is "old romantic charm". I am 100% a romantic at heart and love anything rustic or vintage. I tend to lean towards vintage decor instead of what's trending because I know they will never go out style and they tend to be one of a kind.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

The most rewarding aspect of my job is definitely the final product. I have never left an event not smiling or laughing. Pure joy is what I would use to describe that final day. Everyone is laughing or crying (happy tears) because two people are declaring their love and I had something to do with it. I can't help but smile writing this!

Meet the Team - Allison Loper {Associate Coordinator}

We are excited for you to meet
Allison Loper
{Associate Coordinator}

Allison started with Confetti Events as an intern in
2013 and was promoted to Associate Coordinator
in August! Learn more about Allison below!

How did you get started with Confetti Events?

My husband is a videographer for Voila Cinematic and at one of his weddings he worked with Confetti Events! Of course, being the sweet husband he is, he talked to one of the coordinators about me and how I wanted to be in the event planning industry. After speaking with her, he told me he could see me fitting in well with these professional and sweet group of women. So when he told me the name of the company, I recognized it and realized I knew someone there...Nicole Voute! I immediately messaged her and she was able to get me connected. The rest is history :).

What is your favorite part about event planning?

Being able to get to know the couple and work with them throughout the process. Then, of course, being able to see them throughout their wedding day looking so relaxed and happy and enjoying their special day worry free.

What are 5 things you couldn't do your job without?
Comfortable shoe - I learned this early on!
Emergency kit - you never know what's coming.
E-mail - my lifeline
Phone - obvious reasons
Timeline- help to keep us running like a well oiled machine!

What is your most memorable event?

Probably one of my most memorable Confetti weddings was one of the hardest. The wedding was being held at a private estate in Clearwater and I was just an intern at the time. The wedding was almost all DIY which meant we had a lot to do! Then came the rain. It stated to down pour just before the ceremony. It was rough, but myself and the Confetti Team made it work and it turned out beautifully!

What is your personal style?
I would say I'm a mix of a few things... Vintage, classy, preppy, girly, and romantic.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

The most rewarding aspect of my job is knowing that I could be there for a bride and groom so that they didn't ever have to worry about a thing. Seeing them enjoying their wedding they worked so hard to put together instead of worrying about running it.

Meet the Team - Karin Beaudry {Associate Coordinator}

We are excited for you to meet
Karin Beaudry
{Associate Coordinator}

Karin started with Confetti Events as an intern in
2014 and was promoted to Associate Coordinator
in August! Learn more about Karin below!

How did you get started with Confetti Events?
I started as an intern in January 2014 after moving from New York. I was promoted to Associate Coordinator in August 2014.

What is your favorite part about event planning?
I enjoy piecing together the many different aspects of a wedding and watching it all come together on the wedding day- creating a day everyone can enjoy.

What are 5 things you couldn't do your job without?
a planner
individual bride binders
detailed timelines
the help of assistants on the day of the wedding
the amazing vendors we work with

What is your most memorable event?
I am new to the company, but my very first wedding stands out in my mind. It was to date the most time intensive and stressful wedding I have planned. It was such a joy to see my bride and groom enjoy all the hard work everyone put into their big day.

What is your personal style?
My personal style is professional elegance, but I love to look for unique flares.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
The most rewarding aspect of my job is being able to take the stress off of the bride and groom on one of the most important days of a person's life.

Meet the Team - Heather McBride {Associate Coordinator}

We are excited for you to meet
Heather McBride
{Associate Coordinator}

Heather started with Confetti Events in 2014 after
planning her very own wedding! Meet Heather!

How did you get started with Confetti Events?
I started with Confetti in 2014. I heard of Confetti for years through my two good girlfriends who worked as interns while we were in college (shout out to Kaylea and Alison) they both convinced me that it would be the perfect fit for me and I am SO glad they did!

What is your favorite part about event planning?
Aside from the actual day and seeing all your hard work pay off- my favorite part is getting to meet and work with my brides. I genuinely love these new relationships and friendships I create with them throughout our planning process.

What are 5 things you couldn't do your job without?
These days (since I'm a new mom):
a few great babysitters/grandmas
a positive and calm attitude
my iPad
our team of Confetti girls
my brides, of course

What is your most memorable event?
Probably a wedding that I assisted at the Vinoy in St Pete. It was so grand and beautiful and was the first time I was able to really see the whole day come together from start to finish.

What is your personal style?
I would say my personal style is classic but trendy. I love trying new things, but I also try to keep a classic look.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Definitely seeing the joy on my brides and their family's face the day of the wedding. I love knowing that I am able to let everyone relax and enjoy their day!

Meet the Team - Nicole Voute {Lead Coordinator}

We are excited for you to meet
Nicole Voute
{Lead Coordinator}

Nicole started with Confetti Events in 2013 and
is a huge part of our Hilton Clearwater Beach team.
Find out more about Nicole below!

How did you get started with Confetti Events?
After earning my degree in communications from the University of South Florida, I decided to continue my education and pursue my dreams of becoming a wedding and event planner. I enrolled in USF’s Special Event planning certification course and was on the hunt to also get some hands on experience. I started helping friends plan their weddings and instantly I was hooked. I found Confetti Events through vendors that I met in the industry and I started my internship in January 2013.

What is your favorite part about event planning?

I love to see an idea transform from the first pin on the board to the final day-of details. On the wedding day, I especially love the last hour before we open the doors. After putting the final touches on the room, I always take a step back and take in the finished look of each event. There is something so magical about a wedding and I love every moment of bringing happiness to my brides!

What are 5 things you couldn't do your job without?
Amazing Vendors
ALL of my Apple devices
Timelines
Passion
Red Bull

What is your most memorable event?
There is a very specific part on the wedding day that I look forward to most: the moment when I get to adjust the train of a brides dress before she walks down the aisle- I tear up every time! No kidding.
What is your personal style?

I’d definitely say the best word to describe my personal style is versatile. I don’t really identify with one particular style because I’m always open to stepping out of my own comfort zone and switching things up.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

Oh, I love so much of it! I LOVE getting to know my brides and hearing their “story.” Each couple is so unique and their wedding day should reflect their personalities.

Meet the Team - Theresa Mezzari {Lead Coordinator}

We are excited for you to meet
Theresa Mezzari
{Lead Coordinator}

Theresa started with Confetti Events in 2014 after
moving to Florida from Italy, where she planned events.
We are so excited for Theresa to be a part of our team!

How did you get started with Confetti Events?
 I first heard about Confetti Events through a family friend, as Confetti had just planned her son’s wedding. I had just moved back to Florida and I wanted to stay in the event planning industry, so she gave me their contact information…. and the rest is history. I knew from the moment I met the girls that it was going to be a great experience working with such a fun, ambitious group of young women.

What is your favorite part about event planning?
I love that bond that grows between me and my event. It is so much fun taking that journey with my clients as we go through the entire process - from the early planning stages to the moment when they see it all come together.

What are 5 things you couldn't do your job without?
my amazing Confetti team
my {in-depth} to do lists
a sense of humor and sense of self
an incredible network of reliable “friendors"
my black Glitter TOMS

What is your most memorable event?
Hands down the first wedding I ever worked, which was in Verona, Italy. Pretty much everything about that day fascinated me: how all the months of details and planning seemlessly came together; how exciting the energy was throughout the whole day; and how incredible it felt to see the bride’s pure delight as she walked into her ceremony and reception space.

What is your personal style?
I’m a huge fan of the “less is more” aesthetic, so I’d say my personal style is quite simple/ minimalistic. I have the tendency to lean away from things that are too trendy, instead favoring items that I feel like I will be able to hold onto for a long time.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
…that would definitely be seeing how happy and relaxed my clients and their loved ones are on the big day. It is incredibly rewarding to see everyone enjoying themselves, knowing that they have complete trust in me to handle every last detail.

Meet the Team - Alison McPherson {Lead Coordinator}

We are excited for you to meet
Alison McPherson
{Lead Coordinator}

Alison started with Confetti Events in 2010 and
moved up from intern to Lead Coordinator.
She recently had an amazing wedding of her own!

How did you get started with Confetti Events?
I started interning for Confetti back in 2010 while in my final semester in the UF Hospitality and Event Management degree. Kaylea introduced me to the previous owner, Jamie, and we would come home from Gainesville on the crazy busy wedding weekends to learn how it's done! Once I graduated I began taking on Brides of my own and have grown into the role I am in today with Confetti!

What is your favorite part about event planning?
I think one of my favorite parts about event planning is seeing all the seemingly unimaginable ideas and dreams on paper, in diagrams, on the timeline etc. ALL come together in the end as a success.

What are 5 things you couldn't do your job without?
Passion
Patience
Timeline
Emergency Kit
Comfortable Shoes

What is your most memorable event?
My most memorable event was Erin and David's November 16, 2014 Wedding in Tampa FL. It was so memorable not only because of all of the amazing details but because it felt like they brought me into their family to plan their wedding and the relationship and trust we built made the event that much better.

What is your personal style?
I am still trying to figure that out as I plan my own wedding this Fall :) But I like to keep it simple yet unique and make sure everyone has a fun environment.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
The most rewarding aspect of my job is to see the joy that is expressed on a wedding day after the vows have been said or when someone is blowing out their birthday candles at their birthday party we planned. All of the minor stresses and things along the way mean nothing when you experience

Meet the Team - Kaylea Frantzis {Owner/Senior Coordinator}

We are excited for you to meet
Kaylea Frantzis
{Owner / Senior Coordinator}

Kaylea started with Confetti Events in 2009 and is now
co-owner of the company. Find out more about Kaylea below!

How did you get started with Confetti Events?
I majored in Event Management at the University of Florida. One of our requirements was to do a full-time internship during our last semester. I randomly came in contact with Jamie, our founder, and started helping her with events. I was instantly addicted to the high of being a part of someone's biggest day. Eventually, after college, I started planning weddings on my own under Jamie and fell in love with the whole process. The rest is history!

What is your favorite part about event planning?
 I love that every event is different - two weddings can be the same "style," but have completely different feels. I love that our industry is ever-changing and no day is the same! Plus, our "friendors" are SO amazing to work with.

What are 5 things you couldn't do your job without?
Computer {e-mail, excel, the web}
Pandora {listen while you work}
Phone {always accessible to clients}
Amazing Vendors {we really work with the best}
Our Team {the Confetti Team is amazing!}

What is your most memorable event?
I did a reception room reveal with one of my couple and she started crying! It was so amazing to see how excited they were to see their vision come to reality!

What is your personal style?
 I would say "country chic." I feel like I am a chameleon and can fit into many different situations / styles. I love to get dressed up and socialize, but can also sit back and relax in my sweats and be perfectly content!

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
Being a part of someone's biggest day of their life. It is THE most gratifying feeling! Such a high!

Meet the Team - Kristin NeSmith {Owner/Senior Coordinator}

We are excited for you to meet
Kristin NeSmith
{Owner / Senior Coordinator}

Kristin started with Confetti Events in 2010 and is now
co-owner of the company. Find out more about Kristin below!

How did you get started with Confetti Events?
I met the founder, Jamie Billig while interning in the Public Relations department at Shriners Hospitals for Children. Jamie was planning an annual charity event with one of our patients, and after witnessing Jamie in action, I knew that I wanted to be involved. I began interning for Confetti Events during my final semester in college, and continued to evolve and learn under Jamie as an assistant, and eventually a coordinator.

What is your favorite part about event planning?
 I love being able to work with multiple clients and see different styles, trends, and personalities. It's never dull or stagnant-it definitely keeps me on my toes, and I need that!

What are 5 things you couldn't do your job without?
Email
Planner
Organization
Customized Timelines
my Confetti Girls

What is your most memorable event?
My very first coordinated wedding : ) I'll never forget the support from my team mates, and the excitement and relief of executing someone's biggest day for them and creating happy clients for the first time-it's addicting!

What is your personal style?
 Always changing! At this very moment I'm in an industrial phase, obsessing over metal, brick and wood elements, as well as animal skeletons and skulls. In terms of fashion, I've been dressing like a toddler for a while now, in onesies and overalls, and should probably grow up.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
I'm literally in charge of putting together the most important day of someone's life. Holy Moly. If that's not rewarding...
